Antes de empezar (Before we begin), lets take a look at the verb that this lesson covers –"tener." It means "to have." Believe it or not, tener is one of the top three mostly used verbs that exist. "I have to go," "I have this with me," "I have pain in my leg," "I have hunger." These are all examples of phrases where tener could be used.
